Ofsted June 2025
We are delighted to share the good news from our recent Ofsted inspection. The final report has been published, and I am pleased to say that Ofsted has judged the school to be 'Good' in all areas: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development, Leadership and Management, and Early Years Provision.
This is a great achievement for our entire school community, especially considering our previous inspection grade. It is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our pupils, staff, governors, and, of course, you, our wonderful parents.
The report highlights many of the things we are so proud of at Ewhurst. The inspectors noted that:
-
Our pupils feel safe, cared for, and confident. They behave consistently well and have a close, positive bond with staff and the community.
-
The quality of our education is strong. Pupils have confidence in their abilities and are supported by an ambitious curriculum. Our children develop into fluent and accurate readers, and their love of reading is clear.
-
The school's staff is enthusiastic and determined. The report recognises the significant changes that have been made to better the school for both pupils and staff, and the solid support and challenge provided by our governing body.
This report truly captures the spirit of our school as "more than where our children go it is the very heart of the community." Your ongoing support plays a huge part in this.
I would like to extend my thanks to our incredible children, who approach every day with such positive attitudes and a love for learning. Their achievements are at the very heart of this success. My gratitude also goes to our dedicated staff and governors, who have worked tirelessly to bring about these improvements.
