Welcome from the Headteacher
It is an honour and a privilege for me to welcome you to the Ewhurst Infant School website!
I am delighted to join the Ewhurst community as the new Headteacher. We have a wonderful staff team at Ewhurst, who are dedicated and committed in their pursuit of the school vision to 'inspire confident learners in God's care.' I believe this is a wonderful aspiration - to inspire young minds and to build confidence, which will set up our pupils for a successful life ahead. We do this in a safe, warm and nurturing environment which promotes Christian values. We focus on six of these values: love, respect, honesty, perseverance, friendship and community. Alongside these, we promote the fundamental British values of democracy, individual liberty, rule of law and mutual respect and tolerance. The staff are all committed to modelling these values every single day.
I look forward to meeting and getting to know pupils and parents in the coming weeks and months. The future is bright and the best is yet to come!

Welcome from the Chair of Governors
We are delighted to be the only dedicated Infant School in the area where all the children know and support each other, and are known by every member of staff. We firmly believe that the first three years of a child's education shape his or her future, and that this should not be compromised. Every child has the opportunity to develop firm educational foundations for life.
Today Ewhurst Church of England Infant School is a nurturing, happy and calm environment in which children are encouraged to develop their emotional well-being, and achieve high academic success through a broad, creative and challenging curriculum in a Christian ethos. Outdoor learning opportunities are also freely accessible to the children along with our excellent Forest Schools programme.
We also offer full on site wrap-around day care from 7.45am- 6.00pm, which is very popular.
Ewhurst School is forward thinking and innovative, steadfast and confident in the Christian values for which it stands. We hope this website captures something of the spirit of the school, and we encourage you to visit on one of our Open Mornings so that you can see us in action and discover even more.
To attend one of our Open Mornings, please make an appointment with the school office.
