Ewhurst C of E Aided Infant School

Inspiring confident learners in God’s care

Welcome To Our School

Christian faith must be like a tree, reaching to heaven and rooted in love.

Our children enjoy many activities during the academic year. You will find some impressions below

Feeling good week with Olympics

Swimming at Ewhurst in June and July every year. We feel so privileged to be able to use the pool!

School council lunch

The school council organises a menu voted by the children in the school. They meet with Debbie (our cook) who cooks the most popular choice; sausages, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables followed by pancakes.

Easter End of Term Service and Easter Bonnet parade

Easter Pause Morning

Assembly with Police and a REAL police car on site! How exciting!

African Drumming Workshop

Science Week

Chinese New Year

Apple class prepare a Stir Fry with our cook Debbie for the whole school

End of term service

Christingle activities

Other Christmas activities

The children have enjoyed the Acts of Kindness Christmas Calendar just as much as posting their Christmas cards in the school's post box. Other highlights were Christmas lunch and the PTA Christmas party as well as Father Christmas visiting them on the playground.

We have a very exciting filming day on Wednesday 2nd December! It’s beginning to feel like Shepperton Studios at school! I can confirm in advance that the film rating will be a U!

Cherry Class  attending the Advent Workshop at Guildford Cathedral

Three candidates stood for the role of Prime Minister. Mrs Heather Hadfield represented “Friends of the Earth” and gave a passionate plea to the children how to take care of the plane, including building a pool house made of plastic bottles and setting up bikes which produce electricity for the school.

Mrs Nicki Bartlett, a member of “Move & Groove” Party encouraged voters by closing the road outside so children could ride and scoot safely to school. All lessons would begin with active starters to aid learning. Disco’s every Friday!

Mrs Debbie Cook, leader of the “Cookie Party” promised an ice cream factory in the school on a Monday. Cookies at break time on a Tuesday and on Fridays party food and music.

Each child followed a democratic process of using a ballot paper to register their individual vote. The school council counted the votes and announced the results which awarded Debbie the title of Prime Minister of Ewhurst School! There are photos on the school website of an enjoyable afternoon and many thanks to staff and governors for making this activity possible.

Pied Piper - "A Star in the Jar"

Holly Class visit Painshill Park and have a fantastic day exploring human and physical features in the park!

Book Week

Book Week is a very much welcomed change for the children and they all enjoyed so much to show their extreme reading abilities and the dressing up day. Some of the lovely pictures we received are shown in the slideshow below.

In the second slideshow we have captured some lovely images from dressing up day.
