Educational visits and visitors have great value both socially and academically; they enrich the curriculum provision and provide many opportunities not normally available within school. As a school we provide many opportunities for children to enrich and enhance their on-site learning through use of outdoor education and off-site educational visits.
We offer a variety of school trips for all three year groups. Due to COVID 19 trips had to be up on hold. Last year (2019/20), Reception visited the Working Museum at Amberley near Arundel in March. Year 1 have been to Painshill Park, and visited Haslemere Museum in March; and Year 2 have attended an Advent Workshop at Guildford Cathedral in November. In the summer term there is a trip for the whole school to enjoy as a community.
All school trips are subject to and adhere strictly to our Policy for Outdoor Education and Off-site Educational Visits, which covers such areas as pre-visit risk assessments, correct supervisor ratios for adult to child, and DBS checks for all accompanying parents. We always use a local coach company which adheres to the Surrey CC Blue Badge Scheme, which ensures that all drivers have DBS clearance, and that all coaches must be fitted with seat belts.
